For Sale: Jerry Garcia's House
Located up in rural Marin County, this palatial estate in Nicasio is asking just shy of $4 million dollars. The home, which sits on 11 acres and has 300 degree views of Mt. Tam and out to the Berkeley skyline, was the last place Jerry owned before his passing in 1995. The current owner is noted on the listing as having close ties with the remaining members of the band and
"...has discovered many interesting stories that surround the time Jerry lived here."
New York ... got the ways & means.
Our celebration of the 20th anniversary of the September 1990 run of shows at the Madison Square Garden comes to an end this week with the 9/20/90 show. The 9/19/90 show has already been featured on shakedown stream > it can be found at the archives page on mvyradio.com.
This particular run of shows in New York are probably some of the best Dead I have heard in a long time. Hornsby really brought some new life to the Jerry & the Boys.
Join us this week for the last installment of the September 1990 shows on Shakedown Stream.

20th anniversary @ MSG
We are streaming the Madison Square Garden shows from September of 1990. It is the 20th anniversary of these shows - don't you know. We are skipping the 9/16/90 show because it is an official Dicks Picks release and has been available for years now (...has it been that long?). Anyway, go buy it if you don't already have it !!
Ergo, this week we are featuring the 9/18/90 MSG show. Some of the tracks appear on the bonus CD from the Road Trips Vol. 2 - No. 1 release. We will put it all together into one show, the complete 9/18/90 show in all its' glory and sweetness.
Also, find out more about the autographed Bobby guitar that we are auctioning off on WMVY in October.

20 years since ...
The theme for September: the 20th anniversary of the Madison Square Garden shows in New York City on September of 1990. We have 4 weeks to Stream in this month and they are 6 shows to chose from. One of them is already a Dicks Picks (DPS #9) and 2 other ones' are featured on a Road Trips release. No worries, we will figure it all out and have an awesome time.
Our first show to start off this month will be the 9/14/90 show. Bruce Hornsby had not yet joined the boys, that would came later on the 15th. Vince Welnick from the Tubes had just joined the band after Brent Mydland's death in July. Vince, at this point, had played 3 nights in Phillie and 2 nights in Ohio before they arrived in NYCity. Many deadheads were wondering and even concerned about the status of the band without Brent.
You will get to check it out for yourself -
