As tradition would have it, we celebrate the life and music of Jerry Garcia each year between August 1st and August 9th. Believe it or not, it is that time again. Shakedown Stream will play and jam to some of the finest musical chestnuts of Jerry Garcia ranging from the Grateful Dead to the Jerry Garcia Band and other obscure Jerry projects.
Part 1 of "Pure Jerry" will contain material designated specifically for this year's celebration of Jerry's life and musical legacy, and will flow into the Stream seamlessly, blending Jerry's virtuoso leads, soulful vocals, and mindbending riffs into a raging river of psychedelic bliss.

Hey there Jerbear, I am writing you from South America, from the sunny Lecheria in Venezuela. I´ve been listening to this stream, since 2009, as a previous comment i´ve heard today during the show, thanks to my iphone too, today i was on the beach listening to your show, and I heard the awesome news about the Eyes of the world theme, also my favorite gd tune, I´ll be waiting anxiously for that Eyes bukkakee.
ReplyDeleteall I can say is that it will rock, and yes, even on this latitude, you got a listener. keep on the good work. Greetings from venezuela.
Greetings Jer Bear,
ReplyDeleteI am new to the stream - just a couple months in. I take you with me every morning on my 5 mile walk and frankly, it's hard to come home and cut the stream off! I have been enjoying listening to you and the music and the commentary. What a way to start my day. Loved Pure Jerry - Part One. Cannot get enough of the "Mission in Rain" you selected. Just began Part Two today. So I am excited to keep listening and so glad I have been turned on to your great stream. I will spread the word. Amazing job you are doing and it is so clear it comes from the heart...............! I have been slushing my way throught some relationship issues and the stream has helped me focus and keep positive. The music of the Dead has always done this for me in its own special way - kept me keeping on. So many thanks from a new and DEADicated listener - you help make my days bright.
