One of my favorite years of the Grateful Dead is and has always been 1974. Lately, many Streamers have asked for a return to the good old days of the Dead - the stuff that makes them great. This month Shakedown Stream will randomly move around the various '74 shows and feature them. 1974 is famous for the "Phil & Ned" feedback jams between sets, some of the nicest ChinaCat>Riders ever performed, Weather Report Suites, Spanish jam and, more importantly, "The Wall of Sound". Find out for yourself why this is such a great year.
Join me this week and every week for the entire month of May for each featured show on Shakedown Stream - http://www.mvyradio.com/.
Shakedown Stream
Tuesday @ 5pmWake Up!!
Shakedown Stream is a weekly Grateful Dead radio/podcast show hosted by Jer Bear. It is 4 to 5 hours in length. The first hour is a mix of old, rare, new, favorite and interesting songs of the Grateful Dead. Then Jer Bear plays a show - in its' entirety - selected from their 30 years run from 1965-1995. Afterwards, some more chestnuts may be played to help listeners ease on out of the Stream.
