Shakedown Stream is a weekly Grateful Dead radio/podcast show hosted by Jer Bear. It is 4 to 5 hours in length. The first hour is a mix of old, rare, new, favorite and interesting songs of the Grateful Dead. Then Jer Bear plays a show - in its' entirety - selected from their 30 years run from 1965-1995. Afterwards, some more chestnuts may be played to help listeners ease on out of the Stream.

Vote for your Dead Pick
We have a new theme! The month of June is Dead Picks on Shakedown Stream - mvyradio's very own Grateful Dead show. Go to shakedownstream.blogspot.com and vote for your Dead Pick. Quite simply, the Dead show with the most votes by Monday 5pm will be the featured show on Shakedown Stream. It is fun, it easy and you get to decide the fate of our Stream. I love this run 10-17--21-1978.
I have chosen this due the memorizing jam I discovered one innocent night during high school. As usual headphones on (preferred choice of listening, studio monitor headphones) this Estimated took me to a far away land. I had just received the cassette and that first listen is one of many. For whatever reason I can't forget crawling out of this Estmated into a wonderful He's Gone!

I just realized in mobile version of this page the choices aren't visible. I changed to desktop and put my vote in. Here I thought is was a free for all on choices, it may take a few tries to succeeded, but don't stop trying and success is right there!
