"One way or another, this darkness got to give," as the song goes. How true it is. This is the darkest week of the year until Winter Solstice - Friday the 21st - then we turn back towards the sunlight. It is time for all of us to leave our psychological and spiritual junk in the darkness and plant some new seeds of positivity. Let It Grow! Let's plant these seeds of light and love in my home state of Connecticut, where so many lights have been lost at the darkest time of the year. We need each other to make it through this time - so turn on your light, and let it shine, shine, shine, let it shine.
This week on Shakedown Stream™, we support our brothers and sisters who are displaced by Storm Sandy during this holiday season. We are going to Long Island, New York - the Nassau Coliseum. The choice of an informal poll of listeners was the year 1982. Please join me and all your fellow Streamers in the flow of the Grateful Dead on Shakedown Stream™.

Happy Holidays
Peace & Love,
Jer Bear
Shakedown Stream is a weekly Grateful Dead radio/podcast show hosted by Jer Bear. It is 4 to 5 hours in length. The first hour is a mix of old, rare, new, favorite and interesting songs of the Grateful Dead. Then Jer Bear plays a show - in its' entirety - selected from their 30 years run from 1965-1995. Afterwards, some more chestnuts may be played to help listeners ease on out of the Stream.
