Happy New Years ! By popular demand, the fans of Shakedown Stream have asked for more of Grateful Dead themes every month. Well, well, well ... the 2016 year starts off with a "theme stream" of the song Althea. It is a symbolic tune for me because I got on the Bus during the "Go To Heaven" time period. Join us next week as we explore ALTHEA and how it evolved throughout the Dead's 30 year run, plus recent versions. Right On - let's have a sweet year. Peace, Jer Bear
Shakedown Stream is a weekly Grateful Dead radio/podcast show hosted by Jer Bear. It is 4 to 5 hours in length. The first hour is a mix of old, rare, new, favorite and interesting songs of the Grateful Dead. Then Jer Bear plays a show - in its' entirety - selected from their 30 years run from 1965-1995. Afterwards, some more chestnuts may be played to help listeners ease on out of the Stream.
