Shakedown Stream is a weekly Grateful Dead radio/podcast show hosted by Jer Bear. It is 4 to 5 hours in length. The first hour is a mix of old, rare, new, favorite and interesting songs of the Grateful Dead. Then Jer Bear plays a show - in its' entirety - selected from their 30 years run from 1965-1995. Afterwards, some more chestnuts may be played to help listeners ease on out of the Stream.

Furthur - Press Pause
It's official. Bob Weir and Phil Lesh and the Furthur band played the last night of their 4 night stand in Mexico last week. The hugs on stage mark the beginning of their "hiatus" from playing as Furthur. Phil Lesh will continue with Phil & Friends in 2014 and Bobby is bringing RatDog back to life with shows at the Capitol Theatre in 2014 as well. The other guys will go with Phil or with Bobby, who knows. Whatever happens, it can easily be said that Furthur is one of the finest post Jerry bands.

This new Jerry page is devoted to all things Jerry and will provide a place for interactive connection for fans - deadheads - to find each other on Shakedown Street. The family of the late Jerry Garcia have provided rare photos, plus links to fun facts, live music and The Jerry Store.

Happy New Year everybody ! We had a good year on Shakedown Stream. We surpassed the 300 episodes benchmark - just a click away on The Archives on mvyradio.com. We also featured Grateful Dead themes from 1987, June 1992, New Haven '84 & '81 as well as shows from Hawaii and Alaska. We also featured doubleheaders of LIVE Dead from MSG, London, Orlando, FL, July 1989, and an Acid Tests from San Francisco. Next year, look for more shows from the 50 states and other countries. Plus, we will do more thematic features of our favorite and influential Grateful Dead songs. Look for more set lists, dancing Bears and fan participation. Right On !
