Bobby Celebrates Jerry


Late Grateful Dead frontman Jerry Garcia would have turned 70 on August 1, and his longtime band mate Bob Weir will be among the many musicians taking part in a special concert event to commemorate the occasion. 
Jambands.com reports that the show, dubbed Move Me Brightly: Celebrating Jerry Garcia's 70th Birthday, will be held August 3 at Weir's TRI Studios in San Rafael, California.  The concert also will include performances from Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers keyboardist Benmont TenchPhish bass player Mike GordonRatDog/Furthur keyboardist Jeff Chimenti and Chris Robinson Brotherhoodguitarist Neal Casal, among others.  More guest stars also are expected to be added to the lineup.
